THE COMING CRICKET MATCH.
To the Editor ot? the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — As a considerable amount of interest is -felt in the match to be played on Thursday between the Nelson and Wellington clubs, r.nd as that interest is likely to extend to the ladies, a large number of whom will most likely be present, I take the liberty of suggesting that some sort of shelter should be erected on the ground from whence they might watch the game. One more hint 1 hav6 to offer, namely, that a black board should be placed outside the scorer's tent, on which should be notified, at the xall of each wicket, the number of men out, and the total of runs obtained. This would be a •convenience to the public, and would save the scorers the trouble of replying to the numerous enquiries that are always made during a match. I am, &c, Long Stop.
