It is stated that a number of the friends of Captain M'Lean of the s.s. Alhambra purpose, after the repairs of that vessel are completed, to visit ali the ports of the Southern Island of New Zealand, together with that of Wellington. Ifc is proposed that the Alhambra shall leave Melbourne on the 20th inst. direct for Milford Sound and from thence visit all inlets or sounds to the Bluff Harbor, from thence to Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She will then visit Queen Charlotte's Sound and the other sounds in Cook's Straits, and go through the French Pass to Nelson whence she will sail on the 21st February. The number of passengers will be limited to 50 in the saloon. The fare for the
\ entire round being very moderate, only £20, no doubt, as the weather is so extremely hot in Melbourne, Captain M'Lean will secure the number of excursionists, who will benefit by the trip and experience some knowledge of the • geographical position of the different ports of New Zealand.
