NOTICE.— The following Clause of '-The Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information : — " Eyery :owner of; sheep shall, in the month of January in each year, make a return to the Chief Inspector, of the number of Sheep in his charge in the Province of Nelson, on the First day of January, in . such .year,; and shall, in the month of February in each year, pay, or cause to be paid .to the Treasurer'of the Province, a sum of money at the rate of Three Shillings, per Hundred for all sheep in his charge upon the Ist day of January in such year ; and in default thereof the same may be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with .the defendant."
