: The Flying Squadron sailed for Sydney on the 7th inst; over a hundred deserters were left behind at Melbourne. Election Rows. : — The polling for two members to represent the Coromandel district in the Provincial Council of Auckland, and for which Messrs. Mackay and Grove were the successful candidates took place on the 17th and appears to have been characterised by the uoiost disgraceful proceedings.
