IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and also of ""The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I Thomas Biujnner, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Nelson, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 22nd day of September, IS6O, issued under the hand of" his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELEC ITON will be held for the RETURN of FOUR qualified persons to serve as MEMBERS of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District ; and that the NOMINATION of Candidates will take place at the Provincial Hall, in the City of Nelson, on TUESDAY, the 9th day of November, 1869, at noon ; and that the POLL (if necessary) will be taken on SATURDAY, the 13th day of November, 1869.
