Political Sermons. — We observe that a novelty is about to be presented to the Nelson public to-morrow by Mr. I. M. Hill, who purposes preaching at the Temperance Hall a "political sermon" from the text, " Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him ?" Mr. Curtis at Massacre Bat. — Mr. Curtis yesterday returned from Massacre Bay, aud we are glad to learn that he held most satisfactory meetings both at Collingwood aud Waitapu. At the former place there were about 50 present, and we learn that he is likely to secure alarge majority. At. Waitapu, where he . was compelled, owing to the state of the weather, to hold his meeting, although the meeting had been advertised , for Takaka, there were over 60 present,: and at this place too, ; which has been always looked upon as Mr. Gibbs's stronghold, weiare informed that 'Mr.ijiCurtis; will poll a majority of the votes..
