CORRESPONDENCE.

To THB EDITOB OF THE NKLSON EVENING MAIL. Sir — Can you inform me why it is that the Editor of the Colonist always takes exception to the gentlemen who propose the customary vote of thanks to Mr. Curtis at his meetings. If I remember right, he found fault with Mr. Huddleston for doing so on a previous occasion, and in this morning's paper I see he has made a violent and, as I think, "indecent" attack upon Mr. Greenwood for performing the same act of courtesy last night. It seems to me that the editor of the ColonLt must be almost as difficult to please as was Mr Luckie at the meeting, when he grumbled at Mr. Curtis for being absent from Wellington at the latter part of the sessions of 1867 and 68, and for being present at the close of the session of 1869. Tours, &c. A. Z.
