The following arrangements have been determined un relails r e to the reception of his Koyol Highness the Duke on his arrival in OimstelmicVi. On his alighting from the train he will be conducted to a lent erected near the si:i:ion. and which will be decorated with flowers jvk] greenhouse plants furnished by members of the Horticultural Society. A number of workmen are busily engaged in constructing the framework of a triumphal arch at the south end of Manchester-street, near the Custom Houss. The Reception Committee have communicated with the various societies and other public bodies, and ..rorn the replies received there is every reason to believe that the procession will be numbered by thousands. The children belonging to the various schools will be ranged on each side of the road in Cathedral Square, and on his Royal Highness's carriage arriving there they will sing the National Anthem. It is expected that the welcome given to Prince Alfred in Christchurch will be oneoftbelarge-t gatherings that have ever t:iken place there.
