The anniversary of this Iculge was celebrated yesterday, by games and sports of every description during the day, and a dinner in the evening. The afceamer Lady :Barkly was laid ou for the occasion, and ■conveyed thither, amongst numerous other passengers, hU Honor the Superintendent, the Provincial Secretary, and IsT. Edwards, Esq., 81. H. R. A really excellent dinner was provided by Host Flowers, of the Swan Inn, to which upwards of fifty sat down. The chair was taken by E. Fearon, Esq., and the vice-chair by Mr. W. Cop, pins, P.P.G.M. After the cloth was removed, the usual loyal toasts were drunk, the band, meantime, playing appropriate in'rs. The Vice-chairman then proposed * the healths of his Honor the Superintendent and the Provincial Council, which were responded to by the Superintendent and Mr Parker, M.P.C. Baud, "Cheer Boys, Cheer." The next toast was 'The Army and Navy," to which Lieut. Percy of the No. 1, City RiQes, suitably replied, the band playing " The Red, White, and Blue." Sir. A. Coppins then proposed the " Grand Master and Board of Directors of the Manchester Unity," all the honors of the order being given by the brethren, led by P.P.G,M.Percy. Dr Bond proposed "Success to the Widows and Orphans' Fund," to which the Vice-chairman responded, Band, " Home, sweet home." Several other toasts were drunk, amongst them " Our •visiting friends," for which Dr Vickerman returned thanks, songs were sung (the gem of which seems to have been " Paddy O'Connor's visit to the moon," which wag giye.u with the real Irish brogue), v and mirth and jollity prevailed until; nearly J0 o'clock, when the Chairmnu and Nelson -visitor 1 * were obliged to loave, iu ..order to leturu iu (he Lady J&uJUy.
