London, October 2. The Queen has returned to England, and is now at Balmoral. Her health is partially restored. The revising barristers are hard at work everywhere, refusing to register women as voters. The dissolution is expected to take place soon. Mr Chisolm Anstey is revising barrister for Finsbury. The seats held by several of the leading Ministers are likely to be contested. Lord Stanley is advocating the erection of a monument to Leigh Hunt. Sir John Dean Paul is dead. The Irish hierarchs are commencing to fight over the disestablishment of the Irish Church. The Queen of Spain, accompanied by the King Consort and their four children, Don Sebastian and the Ministers of State, escaped to France on the 30th September. Madrid is tranquil. A provisional junta, composed of four members, sits en permanence. Generals Prim and Serrano have entered Madrid, and Barcelona has pronounced against the Queen. The elections for the Constitutional Cortes by universal suffrage commenced on the Ist October. Orders have been issued for the arming of the Militia and National Guard, and the new Government has received the congratulations of the English residents. One of the chief commercial firms in Andalusia have offered the Government a loan of 160,000,000 of reals. There is an upward tendency on the Bourse. The Prince Koyal of Greece has received the title of Duke of Sparta. The Greek Chamber of Deputies is engaged on a question of new taxes.
