To The Editor of The Nelson Evening Mail.

Sii* — I staled at the late public meeting that his Honor the Superintendent had anticipated any question I might have been disposed to ask him. Subsequent reflection, and conversation I have had with other eleotors of this city, have however reminded me that a very impor taut subject waa omitted by Mr Curtis, iu his speech. I refer to the sudden stoppage of public works in this province. M;ty I ask Mr Curtis thus publicly, why this has occurred? Yours, &c. Joseph Webb.
