The Gothenburgh, left Hobson's Bay at 4 p.m. on the 19th uit. ; passed Port Phillip Heads at 7,. and Cape Schanck at 9 the same night, and Swan Island at 11.30 p.m. on the 20th ; the following day encountered a strong easterly gale aod heavy head sea, which continued until her arrival at the Bluff on the evening of the 28th. When within 250 miles of the coast an accident happened to the machinery, necessitating a reduction of speed, which, together with the bad weather, caused her to make an unusually long passage. After discharging a large cargo, left the Bluff at 5 p.m., on the 28th, and arrived at Port Chalmers at daylight next morning; landed 37 horses and 100 tons cargo there ; received a number of passengers and cargo for Northern ports and Melbourne ; sailed for Lyttelton at 3 p.m. on the lst instant; encountering strong head winds during the passage, and arrived at 4 p.m. onthe 2nd; landed 50 tons cargo and took on board 2800 bags grain, and sailed for Wellington at 9.20 p.m. on the 3rd, and arrived at 1.30 p.m. on the 4th ; sailed from Wellington at 4 p.m. on the sth, and arrived here at 10 a.m. thia morning.
