Via New York. Paris, June 9. Count Stackelberg, the new Russian Minister, presented his credentials and had a formal reception yesterday. In the re- j marks he made on the occasion, he ex- j pressed a hope that friendly relations between France and Russia might continue on the basis of mutual interests. The Emperor Napoleon reciprocated this hope, and thought that the choice of an envoy who was so liked was a pledge of amity. Brussels, June 9.
