London March 14. No fresh Fenian disturbances had taken place, aud these troubles are considered to be completely at an end. The Prince of Wales will visit Ireland at Easter for the investiture of the Order of St Patrick. The American House of Repi'eseotatives had adopted articles for the impeachment of the President, who was summoned to appear before the Senate on the 13th of March. In Abyssinia vigorous preparations were being made for a rapid advance. Sh Robert Napier reached Antilo on 23rd March, Theodorus, it was believed, had relinquished his intention of going to Magdala. He is now occupied in fortifying Dalanta, where Sir Robert Napier will probably meet him at close quarters. The captives had been treated with greater consideration but their guards were increased. A communication from one of the captives, which had reached the King's camp, would, it was supposed, injure them. Sir Robert Napier has sent an envoy to Wagshum G-obazie, a chief of some importance. The 92nd Highlanders had arrived at Bombay. 20 additional vessels had been chartered for Abyssinia. The Government has now discontinued taking up tonnage. The monthly expenditure of the expedition was £400,000. The latest news of the expedition, which had reached Goon G-oona, stated that six regiments were about to advance ; that a firm footing had been gained in the highlands ; that the general condition had improved, passes had been formed available for wheel carriages, that the natives were bringing in grass freely, and finding themselves well paid they had become very eager to serve the army. A fine spring had been tapped at Zacoola. Dr. Norman M'Leod has been obliged to leave India on account of ill health. The first weekly mail from England to Bombay left on March 7. A Fine Arts Exhibition has been opened at Bombay, and visited by 1000 persons. It had been officially notified that the Bombay postage would be increased after the 13th of March, to 6 annas for the half oz. via Southampton, and 8 annas 8 picea via Marseilles. The Indian Chambers of Commerce are preparing a protest against the increased postal rates. The Wool Sales had commenced, and an advance of a penny per pound had beea obtained. Prince Napoleon is at Berlin. The Bank of Australia declares a dividend of 10 per cent. W. Griffiths, George Breen, and a native had been speared by natives at Port Warcott, N.W. Australia.
