THE NELSON ADDRESS TO SIR GEORGE GREY.
The following reply has been received to the address presented by the colonists of Nelson to Sir George Grey : — To his Honor O. Curtis, Esq. Sir— l have the honor, by direction of his Excellency the Governor, to enclose his reply to the aaoress of the people of Nelson, which he requests that you will be good enough to communicate to them. His Excellency desires me further to convey to you his best tliauks for the kiud manner in which you forwarded ihe address. I have, &c, Feed. Thatcher, Private Secretary. Kawau, January 31, 1863. In bidding you farewell, 1 can only say that wherever I uuiy be, one of the pleasantest duties I can pe.form will be to render any service in my power to Nelson or its people, whom I thall ever gratefully remember.
