PANAMA MAIL.
BY SPECIAL TELEGRAM.
Nelson, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. The R.M.S. Mataura, G. E. Bird, R.N.R., Commander, arrived in Port Nicholson to-day, at 5 a.m., bringing the Euglish and American mails. She left Panama oa 24th October, and had fine weather till lotlvv- November, since which she experience^'' a succession of heavy gales, the sea running very high. She passed Opnra without calling in, on the 10th, and sighted only two vessels, supposed to be whalers. Nothing particular occurred during the voyage. AU the passengers were well. Passengers: — For Wellington — Messrs C. A. Abraham, Maso;i, Thos.'Cmig, W. Budge and son, Mr and Sirs W Seabing and four children, and Miss Gray. .For Auckland — Messrs VVaidrop, J. G. Kerry, A. Marshall J. Scott. W. Scott, Mr and Mrs Hunt, Mi-s Crombie, Mrs Grant and son, Misses Scott (i), Mr and Mrs A. Koss and child. For Canterbury— Messrs T. Douglas and O.B.Taylor. For C)ta»o— Col., Mrs, and Miss Kitchener, Messrs A. Buchanan and It. Meifer, Mr and Mrs Burton anri child. For Carnpbelltown — Mrs Cross and Miss Glass For ilokitiica — Mr and Mrs Cheffings and Mr W. WhiUen. For .Nelson — Mr A. Fletcher.
