Superintendent's Office, Nelson, September 23, 1867. TENDERS will be received at this office until MONDAY, October 14, for LAYING the PIPES for the NELSON WATERWORKS. THE PAKAWAU COAL-MINING COMMITTEE invite TENDERS For Raising One Thousand Tons or upwards of Coal at Pakawau, from a seam to be pointed out, at per ton. Also, for bringing down the Coal and putting it on board ship. Also, for bringing the same over to Nelson and landing it at a wharf. The Tenders may be for one or more separate items, or for the whole; and tenders must be sent in by SATURDAY, the 26th instant. Further particulars may be obtained from the undersigned, on and after the 19th instant. N.8.-rPersons desirous of tendering are informed that the Committee have made arrangements with the Proprietor of the p.s. LADY BARKLY for a Trip to the Coalfield, leaving Nelson on the evening of Wednesday, 16th, and returning the following night, giving one clear day at Pakawau.
