The box has iron handles, and the corners are strengthened with iron angles ; a few French nails are driven into the dovetailing. ■It was corded, and locked with ordinary box-lock, and the lid was also screwed down. This box 'was shipped from Oamaru to Richmond, Nelson, via Lyttelton, in the Wainui, about tbe end of March or beginning of April, 1567, where it was dost.
