3.35 p.m. Sir George Grey has been recalled. Captain Machin, of the Kaikoura, charged with giving orders tending to the destruc- : tion of the ship in the vicinity of Port Nicholson Heads, on the 26th instant, was brought before a full Bench of Justices to-day; and the case dismissed. An investigation is going ou as to the retention of his certificate.
