The Wellington left Onehunga at 1 p.m., and crossed the Manukau bar at 3 p.m. on the 3rd; •experienced fresh W. to S.W. gales thence to Taranaki, arriving there at 8 a.vi. on the 4th. While lying in 'the roadstead the gale increased, and she was compelled, after dragging, to let go a second anchor. Left at 4 p.m., encountered a strong S.W. gale crossing the Straits, and arrived here at 10 a. m. yesterday.
