UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER OF 300 HAUHAUS.
Wellington, June 26, 10.55, a.m. On Friday last, 300 Hauhaus met at Patea, the leading Chiefs, who had prearranged the meeting with Colonel McDonnell, proposed to remain at Patea till Monday morning, and then proceed with the Colonel to Esplanade, stop there one night, and thence go to Geakuku, where a t great runanga will take placeFive hundred men, besides women and children, are expected to be present. The Wanganui natives sent to invite their old opponents to visit them, and preparations are being made at Putiki to give them a ■hospitable reception.
