The Nelson Evening Mail. SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 1867. PROVINCIAL COUNCIL.

In addition to the other notices of motion for Tuesday next, already given in our reports of the proceedings in Council, the following notices ' appear upon the paper for that day : — Mr. Wastney to ask the Provincial Solicitor if it is the intention of Mr. J. Sharp, since his ha viug become a member of the Executive Council, to resign his office as Chief Returning Officer of the province. Mr. Sparrow to move, that his Honor the Superintendent be requested to lay .. upon the table the report of the Provincial^ Engineer, respecting the proposed newf junction road between East and West Takaka, together with plan and estimate of cost. } The Provincial Secretary to move, that a committee be appointed to select papers! to be printed in the votes and proceedings'^ of the Council, such committee to consist of the Speaker, Mr. Parker, and the mover. Mr. Donne to move, that his Honor the Superintendent be requested to place on the Estimates a sum of money sufficient for the construction of a line of telegraph from the Buller to Cobden. Mr. Donne to move, that his Honor the Superintendent be requested to lay on the table a return showing the amount of revenue received from the Brighton and Charleston districts, and the amount of money expended in the said districts during the six months ending April 30th, 1867. Mr. Akersten to move, that a Select Committee be appointed to take into consideration the improvements necessary in Nelson Harbor, such committee to consist of Messrs. H. RedAvood, B. McMahon, R. Burn, J. Bentley, C. Parker, S. Kingdon, the Provincial Secretary, aud the mover. Mr. R. Burn to move for a Select Committee to take into consideration his Honor's message, No. 4., also paragraph, No. 3. of his Honor's Address, such committee to consist of the Speaker, the Provincial Secretary, Messrs.
