The following items in the telegram of English News were excluded from our columns yesterday by lack of space : — The Kaikoura brought the following passengers from Southampton: — For Auckland — J. Parkinson, 0. Lewis, Nawier, R. M'Dougal ; Canterbury — W. H. Clarke ; Wellington — Miss Osmond, S. Edwards, J. Greenaway and son ; Melbourne — J. Tallerman, J. M'Kenzie; Sydney — J. Horwitz, P. Hamberger. Passengers from Panama for Melbourne — Messrs. Beck, Riordan, and Lloyd. London, March 10th. * The state of the accounts of the Bank of England and that of France is favorable, and if the present condition of things continues, the rates must work lower. Joint Stock Banks make advanced, at 2§ per cent. The average terms for selected paper from 2% to 2^. Consols for money, New South "Wales, 5 per cent., 8o|'; New Zealand, 5 per cent., 84| ; Queensland, 6 per cent., 91£ ; Victoria Government, 108-|. Consols close at 90£ for moneys -and x United States 5 twenties at 74|. "llfjMCoffee is exceedingly quiet, no sa.Tp&,pl:? any description are being made. . The. market, however, is firm. Freights arequiet but steady. Provision are in moderate request. Sugars are quiet. Atlautic Mail Shares, which have taken an upward turn of late, are quoted this morning at 126. The gold market has been trembling for several days past, and the precious metal is now quoted at 133g. Liverpool, March 10th. Cotton is dull and heavy. Middling Uplands are quoted at 13d., and middling Orleans at 13^d. Bread stuffs are easier, and provisions firmer. Ships Loading foe New Zealand. — For Canterbury : the Lancashire Witch, (King). For Nelson : Avery, (Sinclair). For Otago : V6sta, Beautiful Star. For Wellington : Lochnagar, (Scott), Southern Cross, (Koabe).
