IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly oi'NeAv Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and of " The Provincial Elections Act, 1855," I, John Sharp, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Nelson,' do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 17th day of April, 1867, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, an ELECTION will be held for the Return of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District, and the NOMINATION of Candidates Avill take place at the Provincial Hall, on MONDAY, the 29th day of April, 1867, at Noon • aud that the POLL, if necessary, Avill be taken on THURSDAY, the 2nd of May, 1867. "IVTOTICE is hereby given that a MEETING IN of the CHURCH MEMBERS of this Parish, will be held on the 23rd day of April, at 7 o'clock, p.m., in the Bishop's School-room, for the purpose of appointing and ELECTING two CHURCHWARDENS, seven VESTRYMEN, and four SYNODS MEN, for the Parish of Christ Christ for the year ensuing, and of receiving and passing the Accounts of the Vestry, for the year last past, and at Avhich time and place all registered male members being of the age of 21 years, and residing in the Parish are entitled to attend and vote.
