The annual meeting of the Nelson Harmonic Society took place yesterday evening at the Tempei'ance Hall, and after tbe usual auditing of accounts, aud election of officers, for the current year, it was decided that the concert which it had been inteuded to offer to His Excellency the Governor, during bis visit to Nelson, should be abandoned, tbe feelings of the majority of the members, beiDg opposed to giving a concert of secular mueic in Passion Week.
