Port Cealmeks.— -Feb. 28 : Southland, from Invercargill, at 6-30 a.m. ; Mary Ann Christian, from Omaru, at 6-30a.r0.; Airedale, from Lyttelton, 7'45 p.m. Wellington. — Feb. 27 : Ladybird, from Castle Point, at 11 a.m.; ship Norval, from London, at 11 p.m.; Feb. 28: Lord Ashley,, s., from south, at 10 a.m.; Success, from Napier, at 2 p.m.; ; saiied. Lytteltox. — "Feb. 28 : Wainui, for Dunedin, at 4 p.m.; Lord Ashley, for Wellington, at 400 p.m. The Ahuriri left Nelson, at 4-20 p.m. on the 26th, and arrived at the Buller on the 27th at 3 30 p m., left on the 2Hh for Kelson at 5 p.m., and arrived here to day at noon. The brig Tenus has' been wrecked in Sapreni Straits, while on her voyage from Batavia to Wellington. The Wt-llington Independent states that a race home will take place 1> tween- the Electra and the Countess of Kintore. Both vessels are new, and heavy bets have been laid on the result ; but the beautiful lines, and her quick passage out have made the Electra the favorite. Indeed she is one of the most beautiful craft that has ever graced the waters of Port Nicholson. A race took place on the outward voyage between them, when the Countees won by a few hours.
