THE Telegraph Commissioner is prepared to receive TENDERS tor the mi pply and delivery of TELEGRAPH POLES, to be delivered as follows : — 50 at Flaxbourne 50 at Kt-kiranga 50 at Waipapa 50 at Aniuri 50 at Gore Bay 50 at Saltwater Creek. The poles to be delivered in a secure place above high water mark, to be approved by the Telegraph Engineer. The wh:»e of the poles to he sawn out of the heart of Totara or Black Pine, to be 25 feet long, eight inches square at the base, and six inches square at the top. Nothing but the heart of these timbers will be accepted. Tenders will he received for the whole or any por! ion of* the above snpply of poles, and must state the time within which they wiil be delivered. Tenders addressed " The Telegraph Engineer, Wellington," and endorsed "Tenders for Telegraph Poles in the Middle Island," to be sent iu not later than 1-2 noon on the 6th March.
