At 10 o'clock, The [following PROCESSION will form at the rear of the Government Buildings : Brass Band. PRELIMINARY EXPEDITION MEN. EARLY SETTLERS. (Up to the arrival of and including those by the Skiold.) PRINTING PRESS in full WORK. FIRE BRIGADE. ODD FELLOWS. I FORESTERS. VOLUNTEERS. Drum and Fife Band, CADET CORPS. CHILDREN from PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Route of Procession. To start from the Government Buildings, up Bridge-street to Condell's corner; thence to Corrigan's; thence down Hardy-street to Waimeastreet; from thence to the Fleece Hotel; thence along Nile street to Trafalgar-square. The Volunteers and Cadet Corps will, at this time, fire a. feu dejoie from the Church-hill. After this the Procession will pass down Tra-falgar-street to Corbett's corner; thence down Bridge-street to Hill's; thence round the Postoffice and up Bridge-street, to Owen's Hotel; thence over Collingwood Bridge, along Grove - street to Milton-street, and from thence to the Botanical Gardens. This Procession will be conducted by Mr. J. Graham. On arriving at the Botanical Gardens, the Cadet Corps and School Children will be provided with refreshments. A COLD COLLATION, presided over by Mr. Robert Burn, will be provided in a large booth, to which the public will be admitted gratis, on the production of a ticket, which can be obtained near the entrance of the booth. THE AFTERNOON will be occupied by Dancing (for which music will be provided), and in General SPORTS, under the management of a Sport Committee. TEA will also be provided gratis in the booth at 5 o'clock, for which tickets will be distributed in manner similar to those for the Cold Collation. A GRAND DISPLAY OF FIREWORKS, including the ascent of a large FIRE BALOON, will take place in the Botanical Gardens at ahout 8 o'clock. A CHRISTMAS TREE, if practicable, will be included in the evening's sports. A PUBLIC DINNER will be held in the Odd-Fellows' Hall, at 6 o'clock p.m., precisely, and will be presided over by J. W. Barnicoat, Esq. Music, both vocal and instrumental, will succeed the Dinner. Tickets, to include wines, 15s. each. These may be obtained of the following Stewards : — Robert Pollock, J W. M. Stanton, H. D. Jackson, j J. Percy. A PUBLIC BALL will take place in the Provincial Hall, dancing to commence at half-past 9 o'clock. Tickets to be obtained of the following Stewards :— ■ J. Those of the early settlers and their children who take part in the public procession will, on its formation, be supplied with ribbons as follows ;— Pioneers of the Settlement ...
