DEFECTIVE FIRE-ARMS.
To the Editor of the Evening Mail. Sir —l observed our gallant Volunteers at drill last night, with arms condemned by all the world. It is simply a loss of time to exercise with arms that will have to be laid aside, and the sooner they get breach-loaders the better. I, am, &c, Old Soldier. Nelson, Jan. 17, 1867. -
