The White Star clipper ship Blue Jacket, 92 days out from London to Canterbury, arrived at Lyttelton on the 14th inst. The ship Electra, from London, arrived at Wellington on the 16th inst. She is a fine new clipper built ship of 600 tons register, belonging to the same firm who own the Asterope. Captain Molam has managed in his first command to bring out his vessel in 91 days. The Electra is consigned to Messrs. Levin and Co., and brings a large cargo for Wellington. The latest dates from Melbourne state that the vessels advertised to sail from Melbourne for the New Zealand ports were the Taranaki, for the West Coast, Nelson, and Wellington, ou the 9th ; the Rangitoto, for West Coast, Nelson, and Wellington, on the lOth ; the Albion (with the English mail) on the 12th, for the Bluff and Dunedin; and the Otago, for the West . Coast, Nelson, and Wellington, on the 24th. In addition to these large steamers, ten sailing' vessels of various tonnage are advertised at Melbourne for Hokitikaand Greymouth.
