The Wanganui Times of the 9th instant states that the favorite but unfortunate steamer Gundagai so long employed in the transport service between Wanganui and the Patea, has terminated her career, aud is now a thing of the past. Our readers will recollect an account of her havin.; been wrecked iuside the entrance to the Patea Eiver some mouths ago. She then sustained considerable damage, but remained high and dry, and it Avas simply a question of expense as to whether she should be repaired or not. Her machinery, worth about a thousand pounds, lias been taken out by Captain Fairchild, of the Sturt, and will betaken on to Wellington. WeT^uppcse the hulk will shortly "be sold by auction.
