The Canadians continue to be much exercised over the movements of the Fenians. A telegram received yesterday at Toronto from London (Cantda West) says :—" It is understood that a despatch from the frontier was received last night by the military authorities, containing news justifying the placing of extra guards on duty, and calling for extra vigilance for an important event." A despatch went over the wires to Ottawa yesterday, purporting to give information of a collection of Fenians on the western frontier. A fellow professing to be in General Sweeney's service, who was here last week, gave information that Sweeney was organising for an attack upon Montreal, Oitawa, Windsor, Lamia, and the Niagara frontier, and that he was sent here by General Sweeney. He has returned to New York. He is a Canadian and has served in the Southern army. Messrs. Roberts arid Sweeney seem to meet with less opposition as they proceed further west. At Cincinnati, where their lectures attracted immense audiences, the two factions are said to show a disposition to settle their differences, and to come together again as one bond of brothers. — San Francisco Bulletin.
