WANGANUI SEPARATION MEETING. A meeting of the electors of the Wauganui, Rangitikei and Manawatu districts, was held last night in the Royal Priucess Theatre, u to hear the report of the Separation Committee, and to decide what further steps, if any, should be taken iu regard to separation. Mr. W. Kells was elected chairman of the meeting, and the report of the committee was read and adopted. The lateness of the hour at which the meeting closed prevents the possibility of our giving in this issue a full report of the proceedings, but it will appear iu our next. Meantime we append the following resolution which was duly proposed, seconded, and carried by a large majority : — Proposed by Mr. Morgan and seconded by Mr. A. Willis: — " That the following gentlemen be appointed a Committee with full power to act as circumstances may dictate for the furtherance of separation. T. Harper, Esq., P. L. Simms, Esq., C. W. Hutchinson, Esq., Dr. Curie, G. Roberts, Esq., — M'Beth, Esq., J. Wilcox, Esq., J. Morgan, Esq., W. Patterson, Esq., G-. Beaven, Esq., G-. J. Lethbridgc, Esq.. G-. Howe, Esq."

Coromandel Gold. — The cutter Petrel arrived yesterday from Coromandel, with 500 ozs. gold from the Kapanga claims ; more gold was awaiting shipment. — N.Z. Herald^ April 18.
