LATEST FROM THE GREY.
By the Wonga Wonga, we have Greymouth papers to the 4th instant. The correspondent of the G. B. Argus writes from the new diggings, that gold is found in every gully in payable quantities, and that au extensive rush is setting in. A letter has been received by a Maori in G-reymouth named Moros, from one of the native party on the diggings stating that they had opened a creek called the Nangahua, near the saddle, and got 2 dwts to 2\ dwts to the dish. This can be certified by Mr. Blain, who translated the letter and heard it read. A party of men going up called at Levien and Co.'s store in town to purchase some articles, and when they said they were going to the Little Grey stated they did not care for any rumors; but they were going forward from private advices. Mr. Wise states that he knows of several hundreds of men having lately arrived, on the upper part of the Mawhera-iti and Naugahua, and that these men were not making, ■when he spoke to them, less than wages, and that they were well satisfied.
