WEST COAST GOLD-FIELDS.

OKARITA.

The news by the Thane from Okarita is very meagre.

The Okarita Times has oommenced, and enjoys a good circulation. The town is improving very fast ; many good buildings being in course of erection ; the diggers are very much scattered about. A new rush has just taken place, about six miles to the north. The five-mile was turning out very well ; some extraordinarily rich patches having been struck, a good many were working at the Lake, butnothing had transpired as to their success.
