SONG— LOVELY^ SUE. Air—" My Chloe's Charms." Beyond Wairoa river " The pride of all the plain is Sue, Perfection could, not give her Another charm of beauty true ; Her eyes bright, are sunlight On polish'd ebon marble thrown — ( )f raven hair, her ringlets are, Which shine as ringlets never shone i And shine in such profusion Thiit they are dazzling quite to view, 'Tis surely no delusion To dream each night of lovely Sue. Beyond Wairoa river The flow'rs of summer shed perfumes, But fragrant flowret never So sweetly bloom'd as Susan blooms ; Her lips vie the hip's dye, H?r teeth are rows of snow-white pearls ; Though modest she, can't help but be The envy of all other girls i But let them envy as they will In every charm she is so blest That maiden pride, nor matron skill Can match with Sue in all the West.
