The ship 'Ulcoats,' which was expected to come on to Auckland with breadstuff,!>Jßtrrived at Sydney on the 12th. Captain Potts reports that on November 11, when he. left, the port was blockaded by the SpanisMfri-^, gate 'Resolution.' A skirmish had occurred with the Spanish and Chilians, and- ;ttio'; Spanish were repulsed with the loss of one. Captain Potts was offered by the charterer, to run the blockade at Talcauhano, for: £2 per ton. " Flour is £4<o per ton at the -port. At Valparaiso, a skirmish has also takenplace, with loss of life.
