AMBERLEY

WOMEN'S DIVISION For the last meeting for this year of the Amberley branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, a card evening, to which members of the Farmers’ Union and Young Farmers’ Club had been invited, was held in the Town Hall.

Progressive euchre and bridge ivere played, and after supper an address on “The Philosophy of Life” was given by Mr J. R. H. Archer, of Christchurch. Euchre prizes were won by Mrs Morrish and Mr Malthus. Bridge prizes went to Miss F. Roberts and the Rev. F. N. Taylor.
