BUTTER DULL : CHEESE QUIET
The following quotations from the London produce market, covering prices as at the close of business last week, have been received by the Rangiora branch of the Bank of New Zealand:— Butter Dull. Finest ... ... 120/- to 122/- cwt. First 120/- to 121/- cwt. Cheese Quiet. White 71/- cwt., Coloured 70/- cwt. Frozen Meat There is a better demand for lightweight wethers. The demand for ewes is moderate—prices are firm. The market for lambs is firm. There is a good demand for chilled beef. Trade generally is brighter with a better demand. Per lb.
WOOL SALES
Compared with the opening series, competition is rather more general, but mostly Continental. Prices for greasy crossbred are in buyers' favour. The sales now close on November 26. Current quotations:—
