Funeral

MRS C. L. CASSIDY The funeral of Mrs Catherine Lucy Cassidy, wife of Sergeant Patrick Gassidy of the Rangiora. Police Force, took place at the Bromley Cemetery yesterday morning. After requiem mass in, the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church a very large number of cars followed . the hearse to the Cemetery. The Requiem Mass and the last funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. Father Leen, who was assisted by Father McKay at the graveside. The chief mourners, were Sergeant Cassidy and Miss Kathleen Cassidy. The pall-bearers were four members of the police force in the North Canterbury district: Constable Sterrit (Culverden), Kenealy (Waikar i), Holmes (Kaiapoi), and Smith (Rangiora). Among the priests present, were Fathers Timony, G. Daley, J. Kilgour, and E. Joyce. Floral tributes of sympathy were sent by Superintendent and Mrs D. J. Cummings and family, Noellee Anderson, Mr and Mrs T. S. Hanna and family, Mr and *Mrs P. O'Donohue, Miss Welch, Mr and Mrs C. I. Jennings and Miss Jennings, Mr and Mrs R. Kinley and sons,' F. E.
