Twenty-first Birthday
PARTY AT SQUTHBROOK A happy evening, which was spent in games, cards, and dancing, was held in the Coronation Hall, Southbrook, last Saturday, to celebrate the twentyfirst birthday of Janet, daughter of Mr. J. Dreaver, South Belt, Rangiora. Prizes were Avon by Mr. A. WhitloAV and Miss V. Daley, Mr. J. Smith and Miss I. Sutherland (Monte Carlo), Mr. A. WhitloAV and partner (lucky spot), and Mr. R. Mclntosh and Miss P. De\din. Music was supplied by Miss Devlin, and extras Avere played by Miss M. Sutherland and Mr. F. Evans. Mr. R. Shepherd Avass M.C., assisted by Mr. AY. Dreaver. Mr. AA 7 . Smith (Fernside) proposed the toast of the guest, Mr. R. Shepherd replying on behalf of Miss DreaA'er. An enjoyable supper Avas served.
