Sixty people attended the cards evening held recently by the Rangiora Lawn Tennis Club in the Oddfellows’ Hall. Prizes were won by Miss Alma McGrath and Mr. E. Heney. The winners at thd recent cards evening in aid of the St. John’s Sunday School, Rangiora, were Mrs Samuels and Mr. G. Bruere. Sometimes drawers are difficult to manipulate owing to the fact that they stick badly. The best way to remedy this defect is to polish the sides of the drawers with a good furniture polish or any kind of floor polish... This enables the drawers to glide easily in and out. Doors which jam can be treated in the same manner.
