Smaller Crowds At Sydney Attractions
SYDNEY, Tue. (1 p.m.>— Perfect Christmas holiday weather is continuing today. Most Sydney people are spending the day at the beaches and sporting events. More than 150 steam trains are bringing holidaymakers back to the city from country resorts today. > Yesterday, road traffic was extremely heavy, but accidents were few. Attendance at Randwick for the Summer Cup meeting was lower than usual with 45,800 oresent. About 170,000 went to the beaches, but crowds there were estimated .s smaller than usual for Boxing Day. Police report that Sydney was free from major crime during the holidays.
