On The Job
AUCKLAND, Thu., (P.A.).— When National Party workers arrived at the Roskill electorate headquarters at 9 a.m today, a woman was waiting to see her new member of Parliament, Mr John Rae.
She wanted him to help her get a state house.
“Now I can see how big a job lies ahead,” Mr Rae said later.
“My telephone started ringing at 6.30 and had not. stopped when I left home.’’ Mr Eric Halstead, National member for Tamaki, resumed work at Seddon Memorial Technical Training College, where he is the head of the commercial and and accountancy department. He resigns at the end of the school year.
