Harder Work The Solution

SYDNEY, Thu. (11.30 a.m.)—"We shall not be able to build hospitals for years because of the shortage of materials,” said tiie State Minister of Health (Mr C. A. Kelly) at the annual meeting of the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children, “Tills shortage can be overcome only by people employed in industrial fields working harder than they are today. “A complete change in the mental outlook of Australians is needed before the building of more hospitals is possible.”

He added that hospitals could not be built without steel.

Hospital building should have priority over housing.

The Government might bring aluminium hospitals to Australia as a temporary measure for chronic cases. One way to overtake the lag would be to “bring great hordes of people from overseas who are willing and ready to work,”
