Australian Sugar Price Up Halfpenny
BRISBANE, Thu, (11.30).—The retail price of sugar will be raised from 4Jd to scl a lb throughout Australia next Monday following a decision by the Queensland Government to raise the wholesale price of sugar to £4l/9/4 a ton.
The Colonial Sugar Refining Co., Ltd., announce an interim half-year dividend of 44 per cent, equalling 18/- a share, unchanged, payable on November 30.
