Mother, Two Children Dead

GISBORNE, Mon., (Sp.).— Mrs Maurice Ellis, and her two children were killed when a truck skidded and left the road on Rere Road, about 50 miles north of Gisborne shortly after 5 o’clock on Saturday morning. The dead woman’s husband was the driver of the truck, which carried a number of passengers. He and another passenger, Mrs Jewries, were injured. Mrs JefTries was admitted to the Cook Hospital in a serious condition.

The truck fell about 100 ft from the road. Two passengers on the back were thrown clear.
