Fined £5 For Bicycle Theft
For converting a bicycle to his own use, Edward Wi, 23, was fined £5 at the Whangarei Court today. The bicycle, valued at £22/3/6, was owned by William George Robinson. Senior-Sergeant J. Sutherland said that nearly every other day bicycles were reported missing. Wi was ordered to pay the fine at the rate of 10/- weekly, make restitution of .10/- to the owner of the bicycle and pay costs 10/-.
