Monetary Fund For Europe Planned
LONDON, Sun. (11 a.m.) —The creation of an international monetary fund for Europe to control exchange rates ts part of the plan for convertibility of European currencies suggested by the European Movement, whose presidents are Mr Churchill and M. Leon Blum. The promoters suggest that machinery for the plan be created within the framework of the Council of Europe. A committee of Finance Ministers to coordinate the policies of the countries concerned is recommended. The monetary fund, called the "European Reserve Fund." would be controlled by a permanent committee, composed of the heads of all. central banks, assisted by a permanent secretariat.
