Moves To End Port Deadlock
AUCKLAND, Sat. (P.A.)—Moves to end the present deadlock on the Auckland waterfront over overtime replacements will be made next week. The dispute, which was considered again by the executive of the Waterside Workers’ Union this morning, will be - discussed at a stop-work meeting of the union on Monday morning. There was enough labour available for normal port work this morning, and every ship was manned. (EARLIER SITUATION—P. 3.)
